Transformative coaching

Your space to think, feel, and reflect

A space and time to think, feel, and reflect on the things that mean the most to you, so you can move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.

Coaching with Salome Odhiambo

Welcome

This is your space. My goal is to give you the space and time to think, feel, and reflect on the things that mean the most to you. This could be about your life, your work, your family, your relationships, and more. The process involves thoughtful conversations and inquiry so that you're able to make sense of challenges, roadblocks, decisions, or anything else that may be going on in your life so that you can move forward with greater clarity and self-trust.

What is coaching

Coaching is a space to think about where you are, what matters to you and where you want to go. Rather than giving you advice or telling you what to do, a coach works alongside you, creating the space for you to slow down, explore your thoughts and experiences, and notice perspectives, patterns or assumptions that may be shaping how you see yourself and your situation.

Sometimes that means getting clear on a decision or working towards a specific goal. Other times, it means staying with a question for a while, exploring what sits beneath it and allowing new thinking to emerge.

At its heart, coaching is built on the belief that you are resourceful and capable of finding your own way forward. My role isn't to have the answers, but to listen deeply, offer observations, and create a space where you can reconnect with your own thinking, and, where it feels right, turn that into meaningful action.

What topics can we discuss during coaching

Anything you would like to understand, achieve or navigate differently. This could be a career crossroads, a relationship dynamic, a difficult decision, confidence, leadership, changing priorities, or anything else.

How is coaching different from therapy, counselling, or mentoring?

Coaching is one of several helping professions, alongside therapy, counselling and mentoring. The approach and intention behind each is different, and while they can be complementary, they are not the same.

Coaching is a collaborative process focused on creating awareness, exploring what matters to you and supporting meaningful change. We may explore your emotions, experiences, beliefs or patterns, but we do so in service of understanding where you are now and where you want to go. As your coach, I won't diagnose, treat or tell you what to do; I work from the belief that you are resourceful and capable of finding your way forward.

Therapy and counselling are provided by trained mental health professionals and can support people with emotional distress, mental health difficulties, trauma and healing. Where something falls outside the scope of coaching, I may recommend seeking support from an appropriately qualified professional.

Mentoring is typically more directive. A mentor draws on their own knowledge and experience to offer advice, guidance or recommendations. In coaching, I'm not there to be the expert on your life. We're working together to help you develop your own thinking and answers.

What happens during a coaching session?

Each session is a conversation that you lead. A typical session looks like this:

  • You set the focus. You define what you would like to discuss or explore.
  • We explore it together. I listen, ask questions, and reflect back anything I notice to support your process.
  • You take something away. We close by considering what you are taking with you and any steps you would like to take next.

How many sessions will I need?

It depends on what you want from coaching. Some people find a single session valuable, whereas others prefer to work together over a period of time. For the latter, you can opt to sign up for a package of 3 or 6 sessions, which can run over a period of several weeks or months. All of these will be priced differently.

Where and how do sessions take place?

Sessions can take place via Zoom or in person, depending on your location and preference. If we're meeting online, I ask that you join with your camera on so that we can have a more connected and engaged conversation.

Once we're working together, you'll be able to book sessions in your private portal, where my current availability is listed. If you'd like to find a time before then, get in touch and we'll arrange something that works.

How long are sessions?

1 hour (60 minutes).

How much does it cost?

Pricing varies by location, and you'll see the current rates once you create your space. I'm also happy to send them to you: just ask.

What if I need to cancel or reschedule?

You can cancel or reschedule a session whenever you need to.

48 hours' notice: Please give at least 48 hours' notice where possible. Sessions cancelled with less than 48 hours' notice may be charged in full, or, if the session is part of a coaching package, counted as a completed session.

Are our conversations confidential?

Confidentiality is central to our work.

Before we begin: we'll review our coaching agreement together, covering privacy, professional boundaries, the use of recordings and AI, and any relevant exceptions such as legal or safety obligations.

Ready to explore?

If you still have questions or are feeling unsure, request an introductory conversation with me and I can answer any remaining questions you may have. It's free, takes 15 minutes, and is a great opportunity to see whether working together feels like a good fit. There are no obligations to continue.
